copenhagen diaries: day three

It's 28th of March and it's our last day in Denmark's capital. We wake up feeling kind of sad knowing that in just few hours we'll be on our way back to Poland. Nevertheless, we put that attitude to the side and with tummies full with delicious porridge made by Vincent we get out to say goodbye to Copenhagen.

We wander around the streets so that we can catch the last glimpses of this beautiful city. And even though the weather does not cooperate with us today, we're thankful for the time we could spend here.
We pass Groed once more and even though we really really want to go in and have another of their amazing porridges, we're still full so there's no point. (next time I'm in Copenhagen I'm visiting this place for sure!)
It starts to rain and we're cold and sad so we decide to grab a quick bite anyway. What better way of cheering yourself up than with some Danish pastry, right? Having that in mind, we head to Lagkagehuset.
The first thing that hits me after we get in is the design. Oh my, if every bakery/cafe in Poland looked like that...
After hearing so many good things about Danish pastry we decide to buy the most delicious ones and share. A very nice young man helps us choose as we have no idea what's what and it's a good idea that we had asked him.
We order a cheeky lattes on the side, of course. Despite the amount of calories (that do not count when you're on holiday, right?) the pastries we have are ridiculously good.
The weather clears out so we take our things and continue our little stroll.
On our way back to Vincent's we go to Joe & the Juice. Another great place that has amazing food, drinks and free wifi!
Then it gets to us that we haven't been to the beach yet!
On our way to one, I'm stopping every five seconds to take a picture the beautiful Danish houses. I'm dying to live in one of those in the future.
Even though it's probably not the most charming beach in Copenhagen, I find it beautiful.
We stand there for some time, looking at the calm sea and we don't want to come back home.
But no matter how much we don't want to, we still do have a flight to catch. We head back to Vincent's, pack and then go to the airport. Before that though, we say our goodbyes with Vincent and he sees us off to the bus stop. It was such a pleasure to be able to get to know and spend some time with him during our trip.

Our flight is delayed due to the wind and I think it's a sign that I should not leave Denmark.
I feel almost heart-broken when the plane takes off.
