copenhagen pt2

On Sunday we decided to take the bikes and visit the shore. The weather didn't disappoint us once again and the views were to die for. I don't have to mention how cool and Danish we felt biking around the neighbourhood wearing all black, right?
The clouds were so picturesque that of course we took haundreds of photos. And look at that clear water! I swear Denmark is the most beautiful country I've ever visited.
Then we came back home, drank some green tea and then set off for another adventure. We drived all the way to the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art. And oh my, it was so worth it!
It was the Yayoi Kusama's exhibition that impressed us the most. When you think about colourful dots you should feel positive vibes, right? Well, it was totally the opposite! It was so strange but the longer we stared at Kusama's work the more stressed we felt.
On Monday we finally went to KEA as it was the main goal of our trip. We had a tour around the whole building and met the staff. I am so happy that we decided to come all the way to Copenhagen to see it for ourselves. Now I'm actually able to make the decision where to study.
After that we took the bus to the station from where we headed to Malmo. Of course something had to happen and our bus got stopped by the police. Due to the refugees, we had to have our identity checked. And apparently (since a month or so!) you have to have your passport when you travel to Sweden and we only had our IDs so it was pretty stressful but thankfully the policeman let us go as we were heading to the airport. Now I heard that Sweden closed the border with Denmark so it's impossible to get from one country to another. Crazy! I don't think that's the right thing to do but well, let's not discuss that now.
It was a brief but a sweet visit in Copenhagen and I'm looking forward to coming back there soon!

copenhagen pt1

One week ago I went to Copenhagen with a friend of mine. It was great to be able to visit the city during Christmas time as it has a totally different vibe! The weather was surprisingly good, it even hasn't rained at all. On the first evening , after having issues with buying train tickets (damn those ticket machines that take only coins!), we decided to visit Tivoli Gardens. Oh my! It was such a great idea. We have never felt so christmasy in our lives, I think. Sipping on a mulled wine while wandering through those charming gardens was definitely a highlight of the trip. The next morning I met up with Vincent for a brunch and we had a lovely time, talking and eating skyr and other delicious scandinavian foods. After that, I met up with Ola in the city centre, where we went shopping and OF COURSE we went to Groed to have the best porridge in the entire wold. Then we came back and talked till 12am. Great first two days in Denmark, I'd say!

last saturday

It's December and it should be snowing by now but it is not. Actually, the weather has been wonderful recently! So when the sun came out last Saturday, me and my friend went outside to take some pictures. I don't remember the last time I had my photos taken so it was really strange! They turned out quite nice, though ;-)

Life has been pretty hectic those couple of weeks. We had our mock exams and I did pretty well but as usual I feel like I could have done better. It still doesn't get to me that it's December already and the new year is just around the corner. Five more months of school and I am done forever. Well, I am still going to the university, but you know what I mean. It's really frightening as I have no idea what I should do. On Friday I'm flying to Copenhagen to visit KEA and meet with my friends who I met back in March. So that will definitely be a highlight of December. We'll see how it goes!

And I still have some pictures from London that I haven't shared yet. Will work on that ;-)
